Privacy Policy

Foundation is built for recovery, and recovery requires trust. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English on purpose.

What we collect

  • Account data. Your email address and a password hash so you can sign in.
  • Recovery data. The streak check-ins, journal entries, triggers, and notes you record inside the app.
  • Device data. Basic diagnostic information like app version, device model, and crash logs so we can fix bugs.
  • Payment data. Handled entirely by the App Store. We never see your card details.

How we use it

We use your data to run the app, personalize AI-generated insights for your recovery, send the notifications you opt into, and improve reliability. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your journal entries to train third-party AI models.

Encryption

Journal entries and private recovery notes are encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256. Accountability partners can see the progress metrics you explicitly share with them — never private notes.

Your choices

You can export all of your data, delete your account, or revoke accountability partner access at any time from inside the app. Deleting your account erases your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where law requires us to keep it longer.

Children

Foundation is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
